{"id":354,"date":"2012-07-09T14:58:03","date_gmt":"2012-07-09T22:58:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jenn-and-jeff.com\/home\/?p=354"},"modified":"2022-01-11T00:37:38","modified_gmt":"2022-01-11T08:37:38","slug":"richardson-grove-sp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jenn-and-jeff.com\/home\/archives\/354","title":{"rendered":"Richardson Grove SP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our first camping trip of the season took us to Richardson Grove SP.&nbsp; You never know what the campground is actually going to look like until you arrive.&nbsp; We were pleasantly surprised to find an awesome campground AND an awesome restroom.&nbsp; The restrooms were constantly getting cleaned and were the cleanest bathrooms we have used since our camping adventures began!&nbsp; Richardson Grove is definitely one of our favorites and we will most likely return in the future!! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jenn-and-jeff.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_7890-copy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-357\" title=\"IMG_7890 copy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jenn-and-jeff.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_7890-copy-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jenn-and-jeff.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_7890-copy-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.jenn-and-jeff.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/IMG_7890-copy-1024x682.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Richardson Grove SP &#8211; May 2012<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rating: 5 out of 5<\/p>\n<p>Location: Located 7 miles south of Garberville on Hwy 101.<\/p>\n<p>Amenities: Flushing toilets and showers (best we&#8217;ve seen yet)<\/p>\n<p>Pets: Allowed at no additional charge<\/p>\n<p>Site: 50<\/p>\n<p>Pros:&nbsp; Richardson Grove is located in the heart of the redwoods.&nbsp; The campground is an ideal spot to begin the Avenue of the Giants and visit the drive-thru tree.&nbsp; Sites at the campground are quite large (we had three 6-10 man tents on one site) and are nestled amongst giant redwoods.&nbsp; The campground also has a visitors center and access to the Eel River, which is a great spot for floating and swimming.
